I had to ask that question because we have a brokerage checking account through our bank. It’s not in the regular Suntrust Bank, but in the finanacial services. It took three different people to get my answer. As long as our money is not being traded (and it’ not) they say it’s protected by SIPC up to $500,000. I went to the SIPC website and it’s very encouraging. I guess it’s okay to relax a little about this.

Thursday, September 25th, 2008The beach has been dreary…yes, we are still in Daytona Beach, Florida. The storms this year have caused piles of sea weed to come onto the beach. The ocean is rougher than we are used to here and the beach is much narrower than in past visits. There are no cars on the beach this month.
I have found a new site in prelaunch to promote. Sqip is a social networking and entertainment portal that promises to be potentially very lucrative to those joining it at the Associate level.
