Couldn’t get to the Dominos to pick up our pizza because the street was closed; so I parked a block away and had a stroll through the pretty cars. They had a beautiful day for the car show this year. The oldies music was great too.

So far I am blown away by the great customer service experienced with Nutrisystem. Their website is very easy to use for customizing my food order and now, after this shipping problem, I am very pleased.
First we are going on a trip next Monday and told them to send our orders 3 days earlier (on the first); so the boxes would arrive well before we left the house. Something went very wrong and one box said shipped on the 4th and the other didn’t go until the 5th. I thought they would have to arrive by Friday to meet our deadline.
I made several phone calls to Nutrisystem support about our two boxes. It seems they were processed very separately and one was sent out FedEx and the other UPS. My FedEx shipment did arrive on Saturday! I didn’t even know FedEx delivered on Saturdays. The other box was inexplicably delayed and didn’t arrive in Pennsylvania until Friday. Our support person, Alyssa, promised she would watch our shipments and help by holding anything that was going to be delivered on Monday or after that. She followed up too… UPS tracking shows that our other box has been returned to Nutrisystem and won’t be coming here on Monday. She will send it again after we return from our trip.
It was a bit of frustration that things did not go as planned, but the quality of service we have experienced in dealing with the problem is ourstanding.
We are getting ready to fly down and visit with Tess in Austin. It will be my second commercial flight ever and I am looking forward to it like a kid anticipating a ride on a new crazy roller coaster.
Trying to get everything ready for the trip. We have been trying out Nutrisystem since the first week of January. I’ve lost 5 pounds and Richard has lost zip! He needs a different diet, but I’m happy with this one.
Anyway, I tried to coordinate the delivery of our next month’s food with our trip departure date. Called Nutrisystem and told them to move our delivery date back from the 3rd to the first of February. Did they comply? Well, on paper they did, but it was February 5 late afternoon when I called them and they told me his had shipped on the 5th and mine was still in the service center. Hopefully his will come today, but as soon as I got off the phone, I got an email telling me that mine had also shipped. There’s no delivery on the weekend (they use FedEx). Now I’m worried about this food coming at a very bad time… worse case it will sit on our doorstep for a week or even worse get stolen. The food is all very well packaged and would easily survive sitting that way (even if it rained). The boxes are big and heavy and I hate to ask a neighbor to take them in. Nutrisystem tells me they can have FedEx hold the boxes for us… we shall see how this plays out.
Got our ticket confirmations, room confirmations, and reserved a rental car. Need to torn off the newspaper and put a hold on our mail. What’s left to do, but check the water’s not left running in the house? I’m ready to get outta here!
The older I get it seems I attract the scam. Today it was a surprise box of “Wu-Yi Source” weightloss system tea and pills. I did not order this box.
Now my vast internet experience tells me that there is a shipping fee even for a free trial; so I went to their web site to see what their terms are and how this box might have made its way to my mail box. I have no emails confirming an order of this tea. There is an online chat support thingy; so I chat with the person on the other end. Supposedly this package was ordered on my birthday in December and someone used a credit card ending in 2222 (I don’t have a card like that!). They sent it to my house (whoever they are). If I didn’t cancel the account, their card would be getting hit monthly with $59.99 subscription fees. The support person said it’s fraud and the account is now canceled. I marked the box refused and am returning it to the Wu-Yi people.
Now I am left scratching my head and wondering why someone did this? It profited them nothing, unless it’s to cause havoc on some victim’s credit card account.
